The Avega control software enables control of media playback on networked devices, including media browsing, discovery, and management.
Networked media can originate within the home from PC servers, network attached storage (NAS) devices, iPods with networked docking stations, as well as analog or digital sources bridged onto the home network. The Internet provides a further, extremely rich, source of networked media, with content services such as Rhapsody™, RadioTime™ and others offering millions of on-demand songs and tens of thousands of music channels and world-wide radio stations.
Avega's control software is UPnP/DLNA certified and suitable for control of UPnP/DLNA compliant devices. When used with Avega-enabled consumer products, the software provides control of multi-room and multi-channel playback, significantly improved interaction with media stored on servers, and control of playback from Internet sources.
Through a combination of a core control library and thin presentation layers, the control software can project a number of user interface embodiments:
Avega has available reference versions of the above user interfaces, designed from the ground up with usability in mind and provide an outstanding user experience. The thin presentation layers of the software implement user interfaces with customizable “skins”, making it easy to reflect a specific partner’s look and feel preferences.
